WASASTEN AB hereby offers a guarantee for 25 years against faults in ÄLVDAL
QUARTZITE natural stone.
For your guarantee, the following terms hold:
If the ÄLVDAL QUARTZITE during the guarantee period exhibits faults
that are due to the material, we will undertake, without cost to the customer,
to correct the fault or deliver replacement stone to the degree to which,
after our own inspection, we judge this to be the proper course of action
for correcting the fault. The guarantee period is calculated from the
delivery date named, or, if the delivery has already been made for a project
for which a final inspection will take place, from the day on which the
project was approved. The guarantee only applies during the time stated,
and will not be extended because measures have been taken to correct the
fault, or for other reasons. During the guarantee period, we must be assured
of free access to the project to carry out inspection and other measures
within the framework of our guarantee.
The guarantee only applies if (1) the fault has been reported without
delay in writing before the expiry of the guarantee after the fault was
discovered or ought to have been discovered, and (2) we have had the
opportunity to correct the material before any measures for the correction
of the fault have been undertaken.
If not otherwise explicitly agreed to by us on the date of delivery, the
guarantee does not cover faults caused by:
– Accidents or similar circumstances;
– Negligence, wear, or other changes that result from abnormal use;
– Unprofessional handling of the materials during installation, laying
and cementing, or other actions;
– Neglecting to follow our instructions and recommendations for maintenance
and cleaning;
– Inadequate or incorrect project design and management;
– The use of uncustomary or particularly unfavorable physical or
chemical processes upon the material;
– The use of the material in another way or for another purpose than
that which is stated in our recommendations or standard specifications.
Under the terms of this guarantee, we shall not under any circumstances
be responsible for penalties, damages, losses in interest, losses in revenues,
or other indirect injuries.
